Coming to the Laurel Library

The new year brings new events to the Laurel public library! Here's what's happening in January both in the library and virtually. The calendar is also attached for your convenience.

Special events this month include:

Story Explorers: Dwight D. Eisenhower Eagles Reading Ambassadors, Tuesdays at 5:30 pm (elementary)
ASL Conversation Club: Beginner, Wednesday at 5 pm (teens and adults)
Makerspace Monday: Bookmarks, Wednesday 1/28/26 at 6 pm (teens)

We will be limiting the Thursday morning baby storytimes to 15 babies and passing out tickets to improve safety and help with crowd control beginning in January. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.

The library will be closed on January 19th.

Program registration is generally not required (except for virtual programs) but is highly recommended. Registration allows us to see which programs are most popular, more accurately purchase supplies, communicate delayed and rescheduled events, and more.

Bring your preschooler for a fun-filled half-hour of stories, songs, and fingerplays! This engaging storytime nurtures a love for reading and sparks creativity, making it an unforgettable experience for little ones.
